Manganese

Manganese is an essential trace mineral involved in antioxidant defense, enzyme function, and metabolic processes. It plays a key role in the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD), an important antioxidant enzyme, and supports the metabolism of carbohydrates, amino acids, and cholesterol. Manganese is also involved in bone formation, connective tissue integrity, and neurological function.
