POSTPARTUM
You Were Never Meant to Pour From an Empty Cup
The postpartum season is one of the most physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually demanding transitions a woman can epxerience. While much attention is placed on pregnancy and birth, many women find themselves feeling unsupported after the baby arrives. They are told exhaustion is normal. They are told anxiety is normal. That brain fog, hair loss, mood swings, overwhelm, and burnout are simply part of motherhood. While some changes are expected during the postpartum season, many women are struggling with symptoms that signal their bodies need support, not dismissal.

We believe postpartum care should extend far beyond a six-week follow-up appointment. The postpartum season is not simply a recovery period. It is a rebuilding period. Especially since baby takes about 10% of your mineral reserves, replenishing is crucial to a postpartum mother. Our goal is to help mothers replenish, restore, and support the foundations of their health so they can thrive—not merely survive—in motherhood.

POSTPARTUM RECOVERY REQUIRES MORE THAN TIME

One of the greatest misconceptions about postpartum healing is that the body simply needs time. Time matters. But rebuilding requires resources. The body cannot restore what it does not have. Recovery often requires:
-
Adequate nourishment
-
Restorative sleep
-
Nervous system support
-
Mineral replenishment
-
Blood sugar stability
-
Emotional support
-
Community

Many mothers spend years caring for everyone else while ignoring their own needs. Eventually, the body begins asking for attention.
THE IMPORTANCE OF MINERALS DURING POSTPARTUM
Minerals are involved in nearly every process within the body. They influence energy production, nervous system regulation, hormone balance, mood, sleep quality, stress resilience, adrenal function, blood sugar regulation, the metabolism, thyroid function, and digestion.
Pregnancy, labor, delivery, breastfeeding, chronic stress, and sleep deprivation all increase the body's demand for these nutrients. When reserves become depleted, symptoms often follow.
This is why we start with the Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) test! HTMA provides a long-term view of mineral patterns within the body. Rather than looking at a single moment in time (such as blood work), it can help us identify trends and stress patterns that may be influencing health. For many of our postpartum clients, this becomes the foundation of their recovery plan.
POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION & POSTPARTUM ANXIETY
Many women feel ashamed to discuss their emotional struggles after having a baby. The reality is that postpartum mental health challenges are far more common than many realize.
SYMPTOMS MAY INCLUDE:
constant worry // racing thoughts // hypervigilance // difficulty relaxing // sleep disturbances // persistent sadness // emotional numbness // loss of interest in activities // feelings of hopelessness // difficulty bonding // fatigue // anhedonia

While these experiences are complex and multifactorial, we typically evaluate areas that may contribute to overall wellness including mineral status, gut health, blood sugar balance, circadian rhythm, nervous system regulation, hormonal health, sleep quality, and more. We believe mothers deserve comprehensive support during this season.
