FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you accept insurance?

At Lively Rooted FWC, we operate as a cash-based wellness practice. We do not work directly with insurance providers. This allows us to offer the kind of personalized, root-cause care that’s guided by your body’s needs — not restricted by insurance codes. Many of our clients choose this path as their primary form of healthcare — a proactive and holistic approach that supports long-term healing, rather than just symptom management. We proudly accept HSA and FSA cards, and can provide itemized receipts for possible reimbursement.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Yes! Most of our services — including HTMA testing and consultations — are eligible. Be sure to check with your HSA/FSA provider for specific coverage. This can be a great option for families who are looking to invest in proactive, functional care that insurance may not recognize. Just make sure to double-check with your provider to confirm what's covered under your plan. If needed, we can provide documentation to support your reimbursement.

What type of testing do you offer?

KP specializes in several unique functional testing methods to get to the root of physical, emotional, and behavorial symptoms  including HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis), GIMAP, OAT, DUTCH, Bioresonance Scans (in office), blood testing, and more depending on your symptoms and goals. Based on your symptoms and goals, we help determine which test(s) would give us the most helpful insight and we build a clear protocol from there.

Do you work with both children and adults?

Yes, we support clients of all ages! KP works with children who are dealing with behavioral issues, emotional regulation challenges, ADHD symptoms, or even developmental concerns — and she also works with adults navigating everything from hormonal imbalances and fatigue to mental health struggles, skin issues, and digestive problems. Many families come to her for care for both parent and child, which she absolutely loves — because healing is often a family affair.

How are sessions conducted?

All consultations and calls are done virtually, making it simple and accessible for families regardless of where you're located. You'll receive a secure link via Practice Better or Google Hangouts for your session, and everything — including your protocol and notes — will be uploaded into your client portal. Whether you're local or international, you'll be supported every step of the way.

What's included in the HTMA package?

Each HTMA package includes a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis test, a personalized supplement and lifestyle protocol, adrenal-supportive recipes, meal plan suggestions based on your oxidation type, and a follow-up call within three months to track progress and make any necessary adjustments. You’ll also receive a 10% discount on Fullscript supplements and access to me through your client portal if you have questions along the way. It’s truly a comprehensive package designed to set you up for success — not just in the short term, but for long-term healing.

Can I work with you if I'm outside the U.S.?

Yes! We work with international clients and am happy to support families from all over the world. Please keep in mind that your test kit will be emailed to you rather than shipped, depending on your location. All consultations will be held via video chat, and communication is done through email and the client portal. If you're international and unsure about testing logistics, I’m happy to walk you through it step-by-step.

What's the difference between a discovery call and a consultation?

A discovery call is a free, 20-minute call designed to help us decide if we’re a good fit to work together and figure out which testing or package makes the most sense for your needs. This is not a deep-dive consultation, but more of a chance for you to ask questions, share your goals, and get clear on your next step. A full consultation is where we go in-depth with your test results, symptom history, and healing plan — that’s where the real magic happens.

Do you create protocols based on tests I've already done?

Yes, absolutely. If you’ve already had testing done — like an HTMA, GI-MAP, DUTCH, or other functional labs — we're happy to interpret those results and create a custom protocol for you. In fact, many clients come to us with results but no real guidance on how to use them. We are here to help you make sense of the data and use it in a way that’s actually supportive and actionable.

Are supplements included in the package?

Supplements are not included in the package price, but we do provide access to professional-grade options through Fullscript with a 10% discount. We will never recommend a long list of products just for the sake of it — we keep protocols thoughtful, targeted, and as budget-conscious as possible. You’ll receive a protocol with links, dosages, and timing guidance, all customized to your unique biochemistry.
